Reading and Leeds Festival
Designer of readingfestival.com and leedsfestival.com 2010 – 2018
2014 – 2018
Two websites to showcase the two festivals with Reading taking Red and Leeds taking Yellow.
The brief mentioned trying a magazine-style layout for the website, so I kept the content compacted with a small gutter to separate sections of content. Photos with overlaid text on the homepage a technique used on many magazine front covers, with the block layout continued on the sub pages. The website was meant to stand-out in a crowd and give an edge of excitement to potential festival goers.
Built on the Drupal platform and using a flexible grid system, the site had many updates and improvements over the 5 year period it was live.
